Impact of Slice-ability on Dynamic Restoration in GMPLS-based Flexible Optical Networks

Abstract

This paper proposes a restoration scheme based on slice-ability in GMPLS-based Flexible Optical Networks. Simulations show that the exploitation of slice-ability functionality permits to significantly increase the amount of recovered traffic after link failure.
