Abstract

We transmit 49.3 Tb/s over 9,100 km using 282 16QAM coded modulation channels with spectral efficiency matched to the transmission system’s spectral performance. The 81×162 Gb/s and 201×180 Gb/s channels operate at constant symbol rate and channel spacing.
