Subcarrier Multiplexing Using DACs for Fiber Nonlinearity Mitigation in Coherent Optical Communication Systems

Abstract

We experimentally generate subcarrier multiplexed signals using high-speed DACs and demonstrate the improved nonlinearity tolerance over single carrier signals in long-haul coherent optical transmission systems.
