Generalized Frequency Division Multiplexing for Photonic-Assisted Millimeter-Wave Carrier Aggregation

Abstract

We propose a spectrum efficient, photonic-assisted millimeter-wave carrier aggregation method using generalized frequency division multiplexing. For the first time, an experiment aggregating 18 component carriers demonstrates better EVM performance than OFDM with reduced guard bands.
