Experimental Demonstration of Overshoot Suppression for Cascaded WSS-based ROADMs

Abstract

Cascaded WSS-based ROADMs using conventional controllers may amplify optical power fluctuations leading to undesired overshoots. We propose and experimentally demonstrate an optical channel power controller and a technique to suppress overshoots.
