Monolithically integrated laser with weak optical feedback demonstrating suppressed relaxation-oscillation dynamics

Abstract

We experimentally demonstrate a laser with weak optical feedback, which shows broad regions of operation without relaxation-oscillation induced instabilities. Here, the side mode suppression is above 40 dB, independent of the feedback phase.
