Bidirectional 120 Gbps SDM-WDM-PON with Colourless ONU using 10 Gbps Optical Components without DSP

Abstract

We demonstrate an SDM-WDM-PON system with symmetric aggregated capacity of 120 Gbps (3×cores, 4×wavelengths, 10 Gbps each). The light sources are distributed through the center core of the 7-core fiber, facilitating colorless ONU.
