32QAM Photonic Vector Signal Generation Utilizing a Single-drive Intensity MZM without Pre-coding Technique

Abstract

32QAM and 16QAM photonic vector signals generation at 37GHz are experimentally demonstrated based on optical carrier suppression employing only one single-drive intensity modulator, with the BER under 7% pre-FEC threshold of 3.8×10−3.
