55-GHz Bandwidth Short-Cavity Distributed Reflector Laser and its Application to 112-Gb/s PAM-4

Abstract

A short-cavity distributed reflector (DR) laser achieved a 3-dB BW of 55 GHz. The DR laser was used to demonstrate single-channel 112-Gb/s PAM-4 transmission without pre-emphasis.
