Polarization Activity Monitoring of an Aerial Fiber Link in a Live Network

Abstract

We present state of polarization measurements from long-term monitoring of a 750-km aerial fiber. Polarization rotation rate and magnitude of the polarization change were recorded for more than 1330 hours over 22 months.
