Experimental Demonstration of Selective Core Coupling in Multicore Fibers of a 200 Gb/s DP-16QAM Signal

Abstract

We experimentally demonstrate the use of a long period grating to promote selective coupling between two cores of a 4-core fiber. The device was successfully tested for a 200 Gb/s DP-16QAM signal transmission.
