Distributed vs. Centralized PCE-based Transport SDN Controller for Flexi-Grid Optical Networks

Abstract

We validate the use of a centralized PCE architecture as an SDN controller to compute and configure flexi-grid optical networks. Besides presenting new PCEP extensions, performance evaluation compares PCE-based solution with traditional distributed signaling approach.
