Abstract

40-Gb/s/λ long reach multi-band CAP PONs using 10G-class transceivers were demonstrated with transmission over an 80-km (90-km) SMF and a link power budget of 33 dB (29 dB) considering a FEC threshold BER of 3.8×10−3.
