Experimental Demonstration of LTE-A M×4×4 MIMO Radio-over-Multicore Fiber Fronthaul

The carrier aggregation support in a 3GPP 2×4×4 MIMO LTE-Advanced optical MCF fronthaul is proposed and demonstrated experimentally. The optical power margin between cores transmitting MIMO is evaluated to be 5dB better than SISO configuration.
