SDM-Compatible Dynamic Gain Equalizer Using Spatial and Planar Optical Circuit

Abstract

We propose a gain equalizer array for SDM amplifiers using a spatial and planar optical circuit platform and demonstrate gain equalizing of multicore Er-doped fiber amplifier over 30-nm wavelength range with ±0.8 dB accuracy.
