Abstract

We proposed a low-complexity non-data-aided density-centroid-tracking equalizer to improve the performance of 64-QAM coherent optical communication system. We experimentally demonstrated it over 80-km single mode fiber transmission and observed approximately 2-dB power penalty improvement.
