A PDM based Spectral Aggregation and Cell Densification for 5G Point-to-Multipoint Mobile Fronthaul with a Polarization-tracking-free RAU Design

A point-to-multipoint PDM spectral aggregation and cell densification in 5G mobile fronthaul is proposed without requiring laborious polarization tracking in RAUs. A 25-km SMF transmission experiment shows less-than-1-dB power sensitivity differences between two polarization signals.
