Abstract

We propose novel network architecture that allows quasi-Nyquist WDM networks to be implemented with widely deployed WSSs. Network analyses show a 38% improvement in spectral efficiency. Transmission experiments using 69-channel 400-Gbps signals confirm its feasibility.
