Clipping-Enhanced Kramers-Kronig Receivers

Abstract

Simulations show that strongly clipping signals to the Kramers-Kronig processing’s logarithm (limiting their lower extent) substantially improves error rates, enabling < 7-dB carrierto-signal ratios at achievable SNRs, to support low-latency KP4 FEC.
