Method of Estimating Inter-Core Crosstalk for Constructing Uncoupled Multi-Core Fiber Transmission Line

Abstract

We propose and experimentally demonstrate a method based on optical time domain reflectometry for evaluating splices in terms of ensuring the total end-to-end inter-core crosstalk of transmission lines consisting of uncoupled multi-core fibers.
