OSNR-Aware Digital Pre-Emphasis for High Baudrate Coherent Optical Transmissions

Abstract

We derive and experimentally verify an analytical expression for adaptive digital pre-emphasis in coherent optical transmission systems with severe bandwidth limitation by considering both the transmitter response and optical link OSNR.
