Side-view Rotational Alignment Method for Trench-assisted 4-core Fibers

Abstract

A trench-assisted 4-core fiber has been successfully aligned in fusion splicing by determining an optimal focus position of a fusion splicer and matching the two fibers at the marker using a side-view rotational alignment method.
