Segmented Silicon Photonic Modulator with a 67-GHz Bandwidth for High-Speed Signaling

Abstract

We experimentally demonstrate an all-silicon segmented modulator with an electro-optic bandwidth beyond 67 GHz and a Vπ of 5V. Transmission of 120-Gbaud 8-ASK (336.4 Gb/s net) is achieved.
