Low-cost Asymmetric Point-to-multipoint Coherent Architecture for Access Networks

Abstract

We propose a low-cost asymmetric point-to-multipoint coherent architecture for access networks. In this architecture, the coherent transmitters for the unlink are greatly simplified and the tolerance to laser frequency offset is significantly improved.
