SDM-TDM Reception Based on MIMO Carrier Phase Recovery Technique for Scalable SDM Transmission

Abstract

We propose MIMO carrier phase recovery (CPR) scheme and its application into SDM-TDM reception. The use of MIMO-CPR with SDM-TDM reception simplifies local oscillator input architecture, hence enabling three-mode-multiplexed 4600-km transmission with single coherent receiver.
