Abstract

The EEPN penalty was measured separately from other factors in 5120-km transmission of 120-Gbaud 16QAM signal for different LO lasers. Digital subcarrier multiplexing suppressed the EEPN-induced NGMI deterioration by ~0.4 at 102,400 ps/nm.
