Modeling of Fiber Nonlinearity in Wideband Transmission

Abstract

The ISRS GN model is reviewed which models nonlinear transmission performance including inter-channel stimulated Raman scattering. Utilizing the model, a convex launch power optimization approach is proposed and applied to a transatlantic S+C+L band system.
