Transport Network Upgrade exploiting Multi-Band Systems: S- versus E-band

Abstract

Exploiting bands beyond C+L can effectively upgrade network capacity, but Stimulated Raman Scattering (SRS) affects wideband-transmission, potentially degrading active channels. Upgrades exploiting E- and S-band are compared in terms of capacity and number of reconfigurations.
