Low-complexity Channel-polarized Multilevel Coding for Probabilistic Amplitude Shaping

Abstract

We propose a low-complexity FEC scheme for PAS, which applies SD-FEC to unreliable bits converted by channel polarization. It reduces the complexity by up to 83% compared with changing the decoding iterations in PAS.
