Recent Advances in Large-scale Optical Switches Based on Silicon Photonics

Abstract

We review our recent results in multi-port strictly non-blocking silicon photonics switches. Challenges for polarization and wavelength insensitive operations are discussed. These results indicate the Si-photonics switch is suitable for the data center network applications.
