P4INC-AOI: When In-Network Computing Meets All-Optical Interconnect for Adaptive and Low-Latency Optical DCN

Abstract

We propose and experimentally demonstrate P4INC-AOI for orchestrating in-network computing and all-optical interconnect in an optical data-center network. Experimental results show that P4INC-AOI reduces job completion time of Hadoop MapReduce jobs by 77.9% on average.
