Abstract

4.8-Tb/s PS-PAM-8 bidirectional transmission is experimentally demonstrated over 10-km 24-core fiber with SOA using only linear equalization at O-band. The experimental results indicate that the MCFs are well-suited for optical short-reach systems employing IM/DD.
