Bandwidth-Dependent Gain Deviation in E+S band Bismuth Doped Fiber Amplifier under Automatic Gain Control

Abstract

Although bismuth doped fiber amplifier could provide ultra-wideband gain, the gain inhomogeneity might ultimately restrict its applicable bandwidth. This work explores this limitation through experimental measurements of signal dependent gain deformation.
