Demonstration of Composable-ML-assisted Autonomous Lightpath Configuration over a Field-deployed SDM Network with 7-Core Fibers

Abstract

This paper demonstrates the first field trial of autonomous lightpath configuration over an SDM network using 7-core fibers. With a composable-ML-based configuration algorithm, 10-second lightpath provisioning and automated failover are achieved while desirable QoT is secured.
