Improved QoT Estimations through Refined Signal Power Measurements in a Disaggregated and Partially-loaded Live Production Network

Abstract

We proposed to combine signal power measurements from optical amplifiers and channel monitors in a disaggregated and partially-loaded live production network to reduce the standard deviation of GSNR estimation error from 0.6347dB to 0.4387dB.
