Simultaneous Frequency-dependent Impairments Calibration for 96GBaud Coherent Optical Transceiver

Abstract

We report a calibration method to simultaneously characterize all the frequency-dependent impairments of coherent optical transceivers. With calibration operation, dual-polarization 96GBaud Nyquist-16QAM signal transmission is achieved by using a silicon photonics-based 64GBaud-class coherent optical transceiver.
