Frequency averaging with rotation angle tracking technique in phase-OTDR DAS for large-scale vibration measurement

Abstract

Sensitivity degradation specific to frequency-multiplexed phase OTDR in measuring large strain change is clarified for the first time. We demonstrate one solution based on frequency averaging with rotation angle tracking technique to measure sub-εµ vibrations.
