Abstract

With the development of various types of optical fibre sensors, there has been an increased interest in multiplexing more than one sensor in a system. We have previously proposed and demonstrated a frequency-division multiplexed system using a laser source which was frequency modulated in a saw-tooth fashion (1). Here we propose a new method using a sinusoidally frequency-modulated laser source.
