Abstract

A number of studies for interferometric measurements of small vibration amplitudes have been reported. In these studies, considerable effort has been devoted to solving the problem of signal fading due to environmental perturbations [1]–[3]. A vibration measurement system based upon Fizeau-type fiber interferometer [4] is useful to solve this problem. However, the residual optical path between the fiber end and a vibrator under test still causes signal fading.
