LINE LOSS INDEPENDENT FIBEROPTIC DISPLACEMENT SENSOR WITH ELECTRICAL SUBCARRIER PHASE ENCODING

Abstract

A line loss insensitive macro-displacement sensor with electrical subcarrier phase encoding using optical fiber bundle divider has been developed. The principle of the method and the characteristics of the sensor as measured for displacements up to a few hundred millimeters are presented.
