Abstract

Fiber and integrated optic sensors are gaining importance. For the new generation of integrated and fiber optic sensors the micro- and fiber-optic elements will be replaced by integrated optics. IO-technologies, applications of optical sensors and IO-elements will be discussed. Specific examples will be presented.
