Observation Of Backscatter-Induced CrossTalk In A Two-dimensional Frequency-Division Multiplexed Fibre Optic Gyro System

Abstract

Backscatter induced crosstalk noise of about 5°/hr was observed in a 2-D FDM FOG system. It can be reduced to below 0.2°/hr by proper choice of modulation depth and frequency.
