Abstract

A spatially-multiplexed fibre-optic interferometric and Bragg grating sensor system, based upon low coherence interferometry, has been developed for quasi-static absolute measurements. A range of multi-parameter point sensors, including pressure, temperature sensors, and an in-fibre Bragg grating strain sensor, have been incorporated into this network.
