Sensitivity Limitations Due to Aliased High Frequency Phase Noise in High Channel-Count TDM Interferometric Arrays

Abstract

We present an analysis and experimental data on the effects of high frequency phase noise in time division multiplexed sensor arrays. It is shown that for large arrays this effect can be a dominate source of noise. Results on a 64 channel TDM system are discussed.
