Polymeric Waveguide Polarization Splitter Based on Poling-Induced Birefringence

Abstract

Guided-wave polarization splitters are fabricated in electro-optic polymers by exploiting the poling-induced birefringence. By the mode evolution process, TM and TE modes are splitted between the poled and the unpoled arms.
