Abstract

A fiber-guided remote diode-pumped dual-frequency Nd:YAG microchip laser is applied for a heterodyne laser Doppler vibrometer. The direct carrier frequency generation, accomplished by the separation of the orthogonal polarized laser waves, enables the realiziation of a miniature- vibrometer, which allows velocity measurements with a high accuracy and flexiblity.
