Abstract

We report an air-core fiber-optic gyroscope with similar short-term noise as a conventional gyroscope (random walk of ~0.015 deg/√hr) and a dramatically reduced sensitivity to Kerr effect (>50), temperature transients (~6.5), and Faraday effect (>10).
