Enzyme Immobilised Coatings for Glucose Optical Fibre Sensors

Abstract

Optical biosensors using enzymatic transducers for glucose monitoring incorporate novel inorganic-organic hybrid coatings with oxygen sensitive Ruthenium complexes on intrinsic and extrinsic fibre sensors. Performance in laboratory bioreactors and in industrial reactors is presented.
