Transverse Strain Response of Transmission Dips at 2/3 of the Bragg Wavelength in a Fiber Bragg Grating

Abstract

A 1550 nm Bragg grating having a pair of transmission dips near 1030 nm, i.e. 2/3 of the Bragg wavelength, were subjected to transverse strain. One dip exhibited splitting, the splitting varied linearly with strain.
