High pressure measurement by optical fiber fabry-perot sensor for downhole application

Abstract

We have proposed an extrinsic fabry-perot interferometer (EFPI) sensor for high- pressure measurement. The results have been compared with a fiber Bragg grating (FBG) pressure sensor and has been shown a higher sensitivity for EFPI sensor.
